How To Add Signature In Gmail?

An email signature is a text like your bio information, a favorite quote, or an image, that is consequently included toward the finish of Gmail messages as a footer.

To create professional Gmail signatures follow this step-by-step guide:

On Computer

1. To add or change a signature

  • Open your browser and go into Gmail.
  • Click Settings (gear icon) -> ‘See all settings’, present in the top-right corner.
  • This will show a ‘Signature’ section. Here in the box, add your signature text. 
  • You also have an option to format your message by adding an image or changing the text style of the signature. You can also add hyperlinks.
  • For adding an image, click on the ‘Insert Image’ button. The picture you want to use should be publicly accessible. To modify the image position in the signature use drag and drop.
  • To insert a hyperlink to any part in your signature, i.e. any text or image, select the section to add the link, tap on the ‘Link button, and add the link. This link can be a website link or an email address.
  • Go to the bottom of the page, and tap on ‘Save Changes.

 2. To edit signature

  • Open your browser and go into Gmail.
  • In the top-right corner, tap on ‘Settings’ ->’ See all settings’.
  • Under the ‘General’ tab, scroll down till you reach the option ‘Signature’ and click on the signature you want to edit.
  • Use the text box to make the edit in your signature.
  • To change the signature name, click on ‘Edit’.
  • Go to the bottom of the screen, and click on ‘Save Changes.

3. To remove signature

  • Open your browser and go into Gmail.
  • In the top-right corner, tap on ‘Settings’ ->’ see all settings.
  • Under the ‘General’ tab, scroll down to ‘Signature’ and click on the signature you want to remove.
  • Click on ‘Delete’-> ‘Delete’.
  • Click on Save Changes at the bottom of the screen.

4. To manage multiple signatures

  • You can fix a default signature for all the new emails you compose, or you can also choose a different signature with each email you send. If you wish to change your signature while you are writing an email, click on ‘Insert signature’ present at the bottom. 
  • Select the signature that you wish to add as a default signature; from the drop-down menu in ‘Signature defaults’. This signature will be automatically added to all outgoing messages.

5. To add a signature by using the feature ‘Send mail as’ 

  • You can add a different signature for each address if you are using the ‘Send mail as’ feature to send from the various email addresses present in your Gmail account.
  • On the ‘Setting’ page, select an address from the drop-down menu present above the signature.
  • If the drop-down menu is not visible:
  • Reach the ‘Accounts and Import settings page.
  • In the ‘Send mail as’ section check that all your addresses are listed.
